Rita is an Artistic Photographer based in Oceanside, CA. In German, "Spiegel" means "mirror", which reflects Rita as an artist and photographer. Her father gave Rita her first camera at the age of 8 and she's been photographing her world ever since.

Rita earned a Bachelor’s in Applied Arts and Sciences from San Diego State University and is on the Channel 10 News "A-List" for more than 5 years. A Art Director and an Artistic Photographer, Rita captures each client's unique personality and preserving it as art, in the photography format.

Goal and Vision

"The natural outside world is my studio" ~Rita. She shoots on location in North San Diego County Coastal (Carlsbad, Oceanside), with many great locations. Whether your portrait is if of your family, a senior portrait, a family or pet session, Rita wants you to be relaxed and comfortable; but most importantly, to have fun ... that's when the great image comes alive.

Rita's personal style, is street photography (check out her random gallery), ocean and waves and travel. Check her "day-to-day" photographs on Instagram.

Photography is just part of Rita's life as an Artist. She's always been a creative soul ... Rita's also a watercolor painter and jewelry designer. To show her other creative parts of my life, Rita created and founded Kharma’s ARTist Colony, bringing Kharma and Art together. Check out some of her paintings, jewelry and gifts, including pillows, phone cases, convas prints, prints and paintings on Society6.

Personally, Rita's born on the cusp of Taurus & Gemini. Born in Florida, but a Cali girl since she was a kid. Rita's also a Yoga Instructor. She loves the beach and rarely go to bed before 1:00 am. Rita's obsessed with chocolate, loves the Rutles' Tragical History Tour, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Sleepy Hollow, American Horror Story, The Walking Dead, Criminal Minds and Glee (yes, it is an odd combination). She also loves reading, learning different cultures, writing, literature, tea, coffee, and people with a strange sense of humor. Rita respects wit, book worms, intelligence, British humor and USA sarcasm, real artists, accents, history, strangeness, gothic style, fashion, music, movies, and all things beautiful & beautifully ugly. Vampires and Zombies ... who can't live without them.

Rita shares her home with a 14 lb. Pomeranian, named Kharma "Fluffy Pants" Spiegel. He is the CEO (Canine Executive Officer) for her dog photography & painting sessions.

So ... After all that "confession" ... she invites you to look through her portfolios and contact me to schedule your photographic art experience.{/size]
